Chef Michael Rork, formerly of Harbor Court Hotel, has landed at Jimmie & Sook’s Raw Bar and Grill in Cambridge. Rork was also the executive chef and co-owner of Town Dock Restaurant in St. Michaels.
His cooking style is described as “Regional American Cuisine” in an e-mail press release. The chef, who started at the casual restaurant owned by Amanda Bramble in December, says he likes cooking in the open kitchen and getting to know his customers.
It’ll be interesting to see how Rork adds his culinary style to the seafood-and-comfort-food menu. If you’re impressed, you can always buy a T-shirt, pictured, to remember your visit.
Besides Jimmie & Sook’s, the historic Eastern Shore town of Cambridge has a lot to offer. I see a trip there in my future.
