Yes, that Miss Shirley's Café, the one with restaurants in Roland Park, Inner Harbor, and soon-to-be in Annapolis. Owners Eddie Dopkin and son David Dopkin will be taking their completely outfitted truck, pictured, on the road on June 1.
The Miss Shirley's truck will feature the same Southern-inspired food but on a smaller scale. Mobile menu items include fried-green tomatoes, gumbo, sweet-potato fries, a Maryland omelet, blueberry pancakes, sandwiches like the California chicken BLT, a crab cake, and more.
I think we're up to six on-the-road food trucks now with more to come. The Dopkins aren't worried about the current city brouhaha going on. They have a mobile parking plan in mind.
To find out where the truck will be on its debut day, become a fan of Miss Shirley's on Facebook and you'll get a notification PLUS a coupon for free sweet-potato fries. Sweet deal!
