Actually, they're all worth noting, but this market is kicking off its second year. It proved to be popular last year, so I wanted to give you a heads up on its opening.
The Baltimore County Farmers' Market starts tomorrow at the Maryland State Fairgrounds with a slew of elected officials attending a ribbon-cutting at 2:30 p.m.
On the food front, chef Carole Brosso of Patrick's of Cockeysville will be leading a salad-preparation demo, which should come in handy with the selection of in-season produce at the market.
The market features only Baltimore County farmers and producers, including Simmer Rock Farm, pictured; Calvert's Gift Farm; Woodhall Wine Cellars; and more. Visit the market website for a complete list.
The market is held from 3-6 p.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 26. Just another reason to love the growing season.
