Vote on your favorite crab dish

crab bashGuests at tomorrow's B&O American Brasserie Crab Bash will be able to vote on their favorite dish at the event, held from 6-9 p.m. at the restaurant.

A large portion of the proceeds will benefit the National Aquarium. Tickets are $35. There will also be complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a specialty cocktail and a free raffle ticket for a one-night stay at Hotel Monaco.

Attendees will be able to sample various crab preparations at 10 chefs' stations before casting their vote for the People's Choice award. Chefs include Thomas Dunklin of B&O American Brasserie, Dave Newman of Brewer's Art, Cyrus Keefer of Maisy's, and out-of-towners Guillermo Tellez of Square 1682 (Philadelphia) and Derek Simcik of Atwood Café (Chicago).

You won't go home hungry. Last year's first-ever Crab Bash was a sell-out.

I'm honored to be asked back as a judge this year to determine the Best in Show award winner. Last year's decision was tough. But I'll be in good company with judges Sam Sessa of The Sun, Jojo Girard of Mix 106.5, and food blogger and writer Dara Bunjon.

Hope to see you there.
