Duff Goldman hasn't forgotten his roots. The star baker, pictured, took to the main stage at last night's Best of Baltimore party, wearing a Ravens jersey and promising that his now-open shop on the West Coast is a Baltimore embassy.
To wild applause, he introduced a Best of Baltimore cake, pictured, made by his talented crew. (With Duff traipsing across the U.S., the Baltimore shop is now overseen by Geof Manthorne with Mary Alice Yeskey (see our April 2011 story) as marketing director.)
Besides his new venture, Charm City Cakes West, Duff is also appearing in a new Food Network show, Sugar High, where he travels around the country sampling sweets at various bakeries and other venues.
Despite his hectic schedule, you can count on one thing: He'll be checking out the Ravens preseason game tonight, probably wearing his No. 92 Haloti Ngata shirt. Go Ravens!
