Alehouse to open with Las Vegas chef

heavy seas alehouseHeavy Seas Alehouse is scheduled to open Feb. 15 in the space previously occupied by Diablita near Little Italy. Chef Matt Seeber, former executive chef at Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, will be heading Alehouse’s kitchen.

The chef, who now lives in Baltimore, has more than 25 years in the hospitality industry including a stint at New York City Gramercy Tavern. He also has certification as a chef instructor from the French Culinary Institute, according to a press release.

Those are pretty impressive credentials. I can’t wait to see the Alehouse menu.

Heavy Seas Alehouse was developed by Patrick Dahlgren, a Baltimore restaurateur who is the stepson of Hugh Sisson. Sission is  owner of Clipper City Brewing Company, which brews Heavy Seas beer.
