Black Olive celebrates Cretan cuisine

olive roomThe Olive Room at The Inn at The Black Olive is hosting a dinner, wine tasting, discussion, and book signing focused on the cuisine of Crete. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, at the hotel's fifth-floor restaurant near Harbor East.

Dinner will be prepared by Pauline Spiliadis, The Black Olive's executive chef. Wines from the island of Crete will be featured.

The evening also includes a discussion of the "life-extending powers" of Cretan cuisine by representatives from The Institute for Integrative Health and Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future.

Author Nikki Rose will be signing copies of her book "Crete: The Roots of a Mediterranean Diet."
