I have a clue! When Cordish Co. glammed us last week with the proposal of a Bobby Flay restaurant, it didn’t say which one. Flay has several: Mesa Grill, Bar Americain, Bobby Flay Steak, and Bobby’s Burger Palace.
Let me just say, I hope you like burgers. Flay recently announced plans to expand his burger chain over the next 12 months, according to a report on eater.com. “Flay said the next five will likely be in New York City; Bethesda, MD; Washington, DC; Baltimore; and Princeton, NJ.,” the post said.
Of course, if the burger location is planned for Cordish’s proposed gaming and entertainment facility called Maryland Live! at Arundel Mills, it will hinge on whether voters approve zoning for the complex on Nov. 2.
The enterprising Flay has also trademarked the terms “Crunchburger” and “crunchify”—the practice of “adding a handful of potato chips between the burger and bun.” If you haven’t had one, his Crunchburger ($7.50) is a double American cheeseburger with chips, although according to the menu, any burger can be “crunchified.”
So many burgers, so little time.
