Blog Talk on WYPR

logo.gifThis afternoon, I appeared on WYPR’s Midday with Dan Rodricks (with fill-in host Karen Hosler) to discuss parenting blogs. You can check out a stream here.

The other guests were Kate Shatzkin of The Sun’s Charm City Moms blog and Kayris Wall of Great Walls of Baltimore. It was fun and, I hope, informative. Listening to the stream, I do wish I’d spoken a bit louder and not let me voice trail off—and not talked about potty training so much! I sound obsessed!

  1. I thought you did fine. I haven’t listened to the stream yet and I don’t know if I will, I usually hate the way my voice sounds. And I wish I hadn’t said Ummm so much, but it’s too late for that now!

Anyway, it was great to meet you, and good luck with that PT! (my daughter will be 3 in November and I’m sort of dreading the whole potty thing with her)

  3. I thought all of the guests did a great job. In fact, better than the fill in hostess to be brutally honest. I love blogging & reading blogs…and just became one of your new readers. Thanks for the insight into your thoughts about the industry. I particularly enjoyed the stories about how your family plays a part.

  5. I’m almost at the point where I’m about to think about starting to think about the potty training, so today I read about 50 pages on babycenter.com. And of course I still know nothing.

It’s for my 20-months-old son. I’m trained already.

It was a cool broadcast, especially the part that revolved around ME!

(here you would have seen a winking emoticon if I didn’t vow never to use these evil things).

  7. Oh, and you didn’t trail off much really. You actually have a good radio voice. Very Mark Steiner-esque.
