Sailabrate this weekend!

As we already mentioned, there are plenty of ways to eat our way through Star-Spangled Sailabration, the multi-day celebration of the War of 1812's bicentennial. Not surprisingly, plenty in the area have planned ways to imbibe sailor-style, enjoy a fireworks cruise, and welcome sailors to town in style.

  • Sailor's Night Out: Tonight from 6 p.m.-midnight, more than 70 restaurants and bars, including many in Fells Point and Federal Hill, are hosting "Sailor's Night Out," providing discounts on food and drink—everything from $2 Natty Bohs, free cover charges, and $1 off drafts.
  • Colonial Drink Discounts: As if you need any more drink specials, Bad Decisions is offering discounts on all period correct drinks, like shrubs, applejack, madeira, and rye this weekend. They've also cheekily asked for "no British sympathizers, please!"
  • Fireworks Cruise: Living Classrooms Foundation is hosting a fireworks cruise aboard the Chesapeake Buyboat Mildred Belle on Saturday night. Boarding begins promptly at 8:30 p.m. from the Frederick Douglass-Issac Myers Maritime Park dock and guests will return after the fireworks show at 10:30 p.m.
  • Crew Party: On Sunday night, Baltimore Soundstage is hosting a party to honor the visiting crew members of the U.S. Navy and international tall ships. The event, from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. will is free to the public and will feature DJs, a cash bar, and drink specials.
