On Tuesday, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced the lineup for Artscape, held every year near MICA/ Station North in the sweltering summer heat.
This year, the festival will run from July 19-21, and will feature more than 150 artists, fashion designers, and craftspeople.
Headliners include R&B artist Kem, jazz group The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and reggae band The Wailers. Also look out for kid rockers Bad Seed Rising, and funk/jazz artist Lafayette Gilchrest & The New Volcanoes.
New this year, festival-goers can also download the free Artscape app. The app can be used as a resource for information about the festival and performance schedules, as well as a way to connect with other festival-goers. It’s all up-to-date, and conveniently available for Apple and Android users.
So, mark your calendars for this year’s Artscape, and be sure to check out the lineup.
