This Saturday June 15, Peabody Heights Brewery (PHB) near Waverly will host a “Welcome to Summer Open House.”
The brewery—which is home to RavenBeer, Public Works Ale, and Full Tilt Brewing—is hosting the event from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door. The cost of the ticket includes three craft brewed draft beers. Additional beers will cost $3 a draft.
Brian Funk from PHB explained that these are “not sample sizes.” Guests will be able to choose from six different beers, including Tell Tale Heart IPA, Red Cent Amber, and Baltimore Pale Ale.
In addition to great beer, the open house will have food from a few local vendors, as well as live music from jam band Willies Light, and blues-inspired Lazlo Lee & the Motherless Children.
“The event will be a chance to open the brewery up to the community,” Funk says, as the space is steeped in Baltimore baseball history—it’s the former site of Terrapin Park (later renamed Oriole Park IV) where the minor league Orioles played until 1944.
Guests can go on a tour of the brewery to see the tanks and the bottling line, and learn more about the brewery's exciting past. Brewers will also be on hand to talk about their beers.
As an added bonus, the first 100 ticket holders will receive a free PHB glass. Guests must be at least 21 years old to enter the event. Tickets can be purchased here.
