What: Santé: An Epicurean Adventure, Sunday, June 13, 2010.
A Worthy Cause: The American Visionary Art Museum hosted the inaugural culinary event, attracting nearly 300 hungry guests and raising $40,000 for the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland.
Bon Appétit: Guests enjoyed gourmet selections, fine wines, and craft beer from popular Baltimore area restaurants like B&O American Brasserie (crispy pork belly) and Crush (tuna tartare). Bob Margolis & The Blues Philosophers provided live music throughout the day, while celebrity chef demonstrations by Charleston’s pastry chef Joy Ludwig and others piqued guests’ appetites. Dining packages, all-expenses-paid vacations, and sports memorabilia were just a few of the items available for auction at the event as well.
