Talking Points: How Do You Beat The Heat?

Welcome to the inaugural column of Talking Points, in which we take a man-on-the-street approach and ask people a simple question every issue. This month, in light of the record-breaking temperatures this summer, we wanted to know
how everybody is keeping cool.

Rob Fetner, 24, store manager, South Moon Under: I wait until the sun goes down so I can go out to the bars, like Souris Saloon in Towson.

Lisa Shipley, 58, health professional adviser: I’m from Wyoming, so I’ve never experienced humidity like this. I’m not even sure what this is. I was going to see the sights today, but just had to duck inside to get myself a lemonade.

Emily Berman, 26, teacher: I babysit for a family with a pool membership. It’s a good job perk.

Max Levine, 27, photographer: I put my underwear in the freezer for a few hours. Is there any other way?
