A flat, being more of an everyday shoe, proves that versatility is key. “They pair nicely with skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, or a fitted tuxedo jacket and trousers,” adds Kesner. Not only does this flat take you from the office to dinner, but also taps into all types of personal styles. “They are super versatile for skirts to jeans and everything in between,” says sales associate Angela Spagna of Harbor East’s Sassanova. “You can go from classic to avant garde.” Like all trends, the smoking slipper may pass, but nothing beats the thought of recycling these cozy beauties for your next luxurious at-home movie night.
