If you enjoyed our December Shop Local feature (50-plus crafters who are making amazing stuff in Charm City) ... there are two great holiday shows on Sunday. I'm going to try and hit both. It's a great way to find unique gifts while supporting the locals.
*Merry Mart at the Creative Alliance at the Patterson. On Sunday, December 7th, 11am-5pm. Over thirty handpicked artists sell some the best of Baltimore-made items. Gorgeous turned vessels, elegant jewelry, whimsical stuffed critters, origami lights, felt applique, hand knits, housemade soaps, wacky fly swatters, photos in jars, totally cool totes, and mucho more. Free.
*Squidfire's 2008 Winter Art Mart at the Lyric Opera House. On Sunday December 7, 12-6:30pm. A ton of vendors from up and down the East Coast—especially Baltimore. Check out a vendor list at www.squidfire.com/winter-art-mart-squidfire.cfm
