On Saturday, June 2 from 2-7 p.m. Harbor East will be hosting its first fashion show event, HARBOR FashionEASTa, which will showcase summer looks including clothing, jewelry, and accessories from the neighborhood's boutiques. There will also be live music by Collect All 5, fashion-themed cocktails, in-store events, and special sales throughout the day.
While the stores prepped for the show, we spoke with them and got the scoop on what to expect. Courtney Cannata of Urban Chic, who had a hand in the styling, says that the show will be filled with "lots of neon, girly, and feminine looks for the ladies, and the guys will be a little preppy." She also told us that color would be prevalent in the boutique’s looks, while black will take a backseat.
Carolyn Warner, manager at Sassanova believes that with Harbor East being an "established retail destination," this fashion-filled event should be a success. Look for "Hamptonesque clothes along with graphic prints and tunics," says Warner.
After speaking with South Moon Under's store manager Rob Fetner, we are excited to see who we will spot walking the runway. Fetner says that customers and well-known Baltimore locals will model the looks.
