Hello, my name is Taylor Fuller and I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to spend my fall semester as a style intern here at Baltimore magazine. I am a senior at Loyola University and I am studying journalism and photography. I love everything about fashion and art and how it is used to express yourself. Living in Baltimore for the past four years has allowed me to explore and fall in love with a city I hope to continue calling home.
And now for my first post...

As a kick-off to Fashion Week, people will gather all around on September 6 for Fashion’s Night Out.
Baltimore is helping to celebrate this night by hosting several events throughout the city, county, and surrounding areas. One of the largest happenings will take place at Power Plant Live in the downtown area, starting at 4 p.m. The event, which is being held by the Baltimore Fashion Alliance (BFA) for the second year, will feature vendors, retailers, and fashion designers from Charm City.
Fashion lovers will have the opportunity to check out designers like Grabs for Good, Jewels by Valeria, and the Stevenson University Fashion Design Program among others. Retailers including Fresh Boutique, South Moon Under, Babe, and Urban Chic will also be in attendance.
At 8 p.m. the "Trend" fashion show will be held at Mosaic Nightclub, offering standing room for the public, general admission tickets, and VIP tickets that include a complimentary glass of champagne, free parking, access to the after party, and a front row spot. "Last year 500 people came out in monsoon rain,” says Chris Schafer, President of the BFA. With a larger venue for this year's event, Schafer adds, “We are expecting at least double the amount of attendees this year."

South Moon Under/ Mintlen Trunk Show
The official launch party for the new brand Mintlen will be taking place at Harbor East’s South Moon Under. Meet the designers Chris Warren, Adrian Curiel, Milton Dunton, Steve Segears, and Patt Flynn. The trunk show will feature a limited selection of the new designs. Join the DJ, eat some cupcakes, and sip on champagne all while shopping the new collection from 6-9 p.m.
Other participants will include J. Crew, Anthropologie, Amaryllis Handcrafted Jewelry, Handbags in the City, lululemon athletica, Sassanova, Urban Chic and White House|Black Market.
All of Harbor East will be celebrating fashion with Wit & Wisdom offering "Bubbles and Bags" (champagne for shoppers who show a same-day receipt from FNO Harbor East retailers).
RSVP early for a complimentary cocktail at Lebanese Tavern or Talara. Plus, enjoy free parking with a $50 purchase in the Whole Foods or Legg Mason/Four Season parking garages.
