Making its debut last June, The Fashion Awards MD continues to celebrate the many talented folks of the fashion industry here in Maryland. The ceremony honors photographers, models, makeup artists, stylists, designers, boutiques, media personalities, and more. Founder and producer Lana Rae—a local fashion personality and the CEO of KIS Agency—has coordinated and acted as the model manager for Fashion at Artscape, as well as having been featured on WBAL-TV11 News as a fashion expert.
Right now the Fashion Awards MD is in its nomination stage, which means that through February 1st, the public can nominate their favorites in the listed categories. From there, the top nominees (based on public nomination and the panel of judges) will move onto the shortlist for voting. I'm excited to announce that one of my interns, Taylor Fuller, and myself have been nominated under the media member category. This was not only a surprise, but also a huge honor. We would like to thank everyone for the recognition! So many of our favorites here at the magazine have also been nominated—good luck to you all!
