On the Move

"We deliver eyeballs." That's the slogan of In Motion Advertising, a Baltimore company taking 12-foot-high box trucks on the road to showcase scrolling, bigger-than-life images, all accompanied by cool music. "People are looking to figure out where the music is coming from, and then they see these powerful visuals rolling down three sides of the truck," says Jeff Rasmussen, co-owner of In Motion. The company has a steady stream of clients, including Ikea (which has a full living room set cruising the streets), McDonald's, and Dos Equis beer. One of the rolling ads is for Chesapeake Cycles, with the Annapolis dealership's $24,000 gleaming, Victory motorcycle loaded on the truck and paraded around Baltimore. But In Motion does have some local competition: Rolling Ads in Catonsville and Interstate Mobile Advertising Inc. in Frederick County.
